What is standard trademark validity?

There is no universal standard, but 10 years is the norm in most jurisdictions, including the EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia, and most others. After 10 years, the trademark can be renewed for further 10-year periods, with no limit on the number of renewals.

A small number of jurisdictions use different periods (7 years in some countries, for example), but 10 years is the baseline to expect in most markets.
